13 Dec 2022 - This time of year is difficult for an office manager: employees are distracted or totally absent from their desks. Propping up a post or wall seems to be deemed "work", and the real business of the day stays in the in-box or is filed in the waste bin. Since this pattern is expected, I have learned to prioritize urgent matters well before the holiday malaise hits... allowing me to maintain good staff rapport with my end-of-year laissez-faire. And I honestly enjoy hanging out with my peeps: I can accomplish nothing with the best of them.
