a fuddled huddle

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

14 Dec 2022 - In my line of work, and true to my cat-ness, sleeping soundly is an indulgence, a state of unawareness to be entered cautiously.  After more than two years of observation, I can say my peeps are not dangerous (except in darkness, when they can't see very well).  However, they are fond of sneaking up on me... and we may differ in our definitions of "sneak".  Nonetheless I doze with one ear cocked for their footfalls.  Typically there is no need to rouse myself beyond acknowledgment, but sometimes the nature of their visit escapes me and niggles the back of my brain... rather spoiling my nap.

Peeps are perplexing creatures.

Bring back Bastet
Bastet beckons

Catty Corner

word of the day - discatbobulated, baffled by peep behavior (no wonder cats prefer their own company)
