7 Dec 2022 - The shorter peep says that the decor rearrangement (and her up-beat behavior) is to celebrate the holidays.  When I dutifully turned sideways and arched my back, she pointed out that that belonged to a different holiday.  Good thing that thought bubbles don't appear in real life, as my inner voice pointed out the illogic and general randomness of peep behavior.  And before you start sputtering "but, but, but", I will add that a cat's eschewing of pattern is a conscious decision, all part of a bigger plan... we are not squeeps dashing to and fro on the roadway.
