4 Sep 2023 - I know from experience that Mr. Sol won't always put in an appearance, so when he does, I want to be there. If only I could figure out a way to store this golden warmth for a day when it is much needed! The memory of melting in a pool of sunshine is pleasant, but does nothing to mitigate cold paws. Its transitory nature emphasizes the importance of grabbing the opportunity... to wait until "a better time" is to miss out. So, yes, I unapologetically took my work break here on this ledge. Besides it offers a view of the woods that I am required (just read my job description) to guard. Things couldn't be more perfect.

Maybe a sun lamp for Christmas? But I must admit, nothing beats the real thing when you are chilly. Hitty just fended off an interloper, had a compensatory wet food treat, and is now snoozing out in her personal screened room (well, shared with Archy). She sends you greetings from the south
