penne for your thoughts

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

13 June 2014 - I've known the health benefits of yogurt for years.  It is the only peep food (although why do they get to claim it?) that I indulge in.  An often overlooked aspect, or short-changed due to our skewed priorities and hectic schedules, of eating together as a family is the camaraderie, the spending time as a social unit without blare of television and glare of computer monitor.  So regardless of what I am doing, when my peeps sit down at the table, I am there.  Often very little is said, and an on-looker might think that we were a monastic order.  Indeed ours is a communion, admittedly secular but no less essential.  Our gazes are fixed beyond the window, at the awesomeness of our surroundings.  For us it is necessary and sufficient to share this if-and-only-if experience, to be thankful for our good fortune.
