17 April 2018 - If this picture was dropped into a cartoon, there would be a thought bubble over my head, saying in effect, "surely you don't expect me to crawl through that hole."  After contributing a pitiful meow to the mix, I was saved from mortification by the shorter peep... although she certainly took her time.  Had mine been a 9-1-9 call, help would have arrived too late.  Please notice that there is no "purr" in patience, so don't expect me to be happy about this wait.  Noisy stoicism I can muster.  What kept me rooted in place, exuding the impression that she would bend to my plea?  Sheer mulishness, perhaps.
