Me-usings and Me-emories
11 March 2021 - Jumping is second-nature to us cats, a handy way to gain altitude. If you have ever become "conscious" while walking or climbing stairs, then you know that thinking about the physical process is a sure way to stub a toe or otherwise look like a klutz. At one point we all had to figure out balance and locomotion, but once "learned", it is crucial to stop the gray cells from micro-managing. Watching my analytical, strong on cause-and-effect, peeps, I would guess that shutting off their conscious brains is more difficult than for me. Yet there have been anxious moments, a sure way to overload my circuitry, where suddenly I seemed to have an extra leg and a foreign gait and no grace whatsoever. But in general we cats are something to behold.
