Me-usings and Me-emories
18 March 2021 - I know I know that word... but it just won't come into focus. We have all had these moments, another reason for us to empathize with our fellows. The shorter peep and I spend time together midday in the screened enclosure. I have already vouchsafed its safety, so we can sit a while together without being disturbed by interlopers. Of course during this time of year there are always beeps in call-and-respond chorus, but I don't worry until they go silent. No background music means that something sinister has entered the picture... and I must investigate. "Earworm"... that's what I was trying to remember, the song that plagues your thoughts... another type of interloper. Here's your clue: INMI (involuntary musical imagery).
