Me-usings and Me-emories
2 Oct 2021 - You might have difficulty figuring out the shown hiding spot. The licking of my lips is a clue: I am seated on a bench that is pushed under the dining table, where the shorter peep and I meet for meals. Certainly the taller peep would overlook me here, as I can only be spotted if the seeker leans over or bends his knees (after a certain age, peeps are disinclined to perform these movements). I was very pleased with myself when I discovered this nook smack in the middle of activity. Seated here I can watch the feet come and go, benefit from residual kitchen heat, and get first dibs on any morsel that drops to the floor. I am not (yet) so brave to remain crouched here when strange peeps come to the door.
Today's Catechism
(for the autodidcat)
We all need a place
to which we can retreat.
