Me-usings and Me-emories
2 Jul 2022 - Every now and then my role in the world is tangibly validated. Here I am engaged in a draining stare-down with one of our northern interlopers. It dared not inch any closer, and eventually the induced anxiety compelled it to leave my personal sun deck, i.e., I did my job. But I've found that interlopers have short memories (or are Pollyannish), so this very same creature may return tomorrow... all of which means that my continued employment is guaranteed. We live in topsy-turvy times, so how delightful it is to know that kibble will continue to appear in my bowl, with nearby cushions for napping.
