10 Feb 2023 - Unless my nails click on a hard surface, I can walk around undetected... which helps with surveillance (and with good peep relationships, since I like to creep around early in the morning).  Interlopers can amass at any point, but beeps and the larger sorts seem to prefer the shadowy edges of the day... and so, while my peeps are still sleeping, I watch for suspicious activity.  This particular portal overlooks a watering spot that is sought out when rainfall is scarce... because everything gets thirsty.
