11 Feb 2023 - Our appreciation of good things is heightened by the fact that they are ephemeral, leaving us wishing for more. And who knows, we would probably not feel lucky if our good fortune was a familiar given. All of this philosophizing is to acknowledge that today isn't a picture-perfect copy of yesterday. The ambient temperature doesn't require a negative comment (I could but I won't), but where is Mr. Sol?? You'd think that a tuxedo cat would admire the many shades of gray... but I don't. The only bright side is that my time on the screened porch is tolerable (but far beneath its potential).
