11 Mar 2023 - Sometimes a reason is not obvious. I do things, and the shorter peep tries to understand my motivation (repeat that first sentence). The inquisitive mind isn't satisfied with "that's just the way things are" because it believes in cause and effect. And then there is the communication problem: I would tell her even I don't know why I plopped down in this corner today. Sometimes it offers a pool of sunlight, sometimes I use its portal to spy on the pond interlopers, always it offers an out-of-traffic rest stop. I regret throwing a wrench in her mental gears.
