1 Mar 2024 - You get one guess... yes, I am waiting for the shorter peep.  We meet here first thing in the morning, for a bit of food and some conversation.  Well, maybe not so much the latter... with our language barrier, perhaps the better word is "commune".  We do manage something like chitchat, and over the years have developed our very own argot.  It is very broad-brush and very limited in scope, suggesting a general feeling rather than a refined expression.  Even so we seem to enjoy wishing the other a "how ya doing?" (her translation?) or "would ya hurry up?" (my intent)... one more thing that we can share.
