6 Mar 2024 - Did you see that?  Probably not as you were looking elsewhere... but I glimpsed motion out this westerly portal and was compelled to check it out.  I am pleased to report that the alarm was over blown:  just a dark beep darting into the bushes.  I've seen its kind before, one of those that mistakes its reflection for a rival, so I've had many close observations of its actions:  harmless but a bit dim-witted... or maybe its natural intelligence is being shoved aside by hormones (it is that time of year).
