14 July 2015 - I don't grow tired of my porch view, but twilight settling on the lake is probably my favorite vista. Of course, my perception of dusk differs greatly from that of my peeps, but the overall effect is still one of peace. This time of day is so soothing to the senses: the beeps have gone to roost, the squeeps are blessedly quiet, and any boat traffic has long ceased. The water's surface acts as something of a mirror, reflecting the oblique rays and brightening the air. The captured result is Calvin by lake light...I think it would make a lovely oil painting, but the locals seems to prefer hooked rugs.
