24 July 2015 - Part of homeland security is protection of our drinking water...well, my peeps' drinking water, as I am quite content to lap from the lake. A simple deterrent is just maintaining an on-site presence. It doesn't have to be every minute of the day and night: random appearances are equally effective. The bad guys need a predictable routine in order to sabotage the well, so I make certain that I can't be second-guessed...which isn't that difficult for a cat. This responsibility is just one of many that I take on, without expectation of compensation. I trust that you appreciate my sense of humor.
