24 April 2016 - Those videos of cats guarding stairways are very funny, based on my reaction and the great number of hits they receive.  Part of the hilarity is the size differential between the cowed dim deep and the dwarfed defender.  One has to wonder if the fear was learned when both creatures were still young and virtually the same size.  The dim deep's ancestral connection to a wolf has been long forgotten...at least in those few that were the butt of the film clips.  Since I do not share my abode with anyone but the two peeps, I have not had the opportunity to try out my intimidation skills...but I still practice.
