10 April 2016 - Most of the time my job of keeping watch is an enviable one: no major incursions, great scenery, comfortable digs. That isn't to say that what I do is expendable... how important to my peeps is their peace of mind? "Very" is their implied response, as I am given autonomy and trust. We have a good working relationship and a healthy respect for the other. It doesn't hurt that I ask for very little in return.
