9 April 2016 - I am a reluctant 21st-century cat.  The current generation can't seem to function without their fingers touching a social medium.  I occasionally lurk on Facebook, mostly reading from the lap of my shorter peep, and I ruminate here almost daily...but that exhausts my involvement.  It would be a stretch to say that I am plugged into the world.  No cellphone, no twitter account, no dueling thumbs, I am on the fringe of today's society.  But I am also certain that I am not going to step in front of a bus while reading my messages.  And separating myself from a rude and aggressive "civilization" doesn't seem like a bad plan to me.
