Me-usings and Me-emories
16 April 2016 - From this angle one would guess that I am a midnight cat (remember that: first impressions aren't necessarily accurate). But the reason I am fond of this picture is because of the curvy silhouette. To just observe the outline of something makes one aware of the underlying shapes. There is a drawing technique which trains the eye to see the the inherent building blocks: a circle sitting atop a square upon an oval with two acute triangles crowning it and a flipped J tacked on the end. From that crude composition, one smooths out the lines, always guided by what the eye observes. The most discerning will notice that I have fur growing from my ears: among felines that is not a point of embarrassment.
