achy, breaky hearth

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

16 August 2018 - The lake water continues its retreat.  There are no boats in the vicinity resting on their hulls, but I definitely have more shore to patrol.  Not one to grumble, I do however prefer walking in soft grass, not wet, not too high.  These stones and rocks, embedded in gravel, are tough on the paws... but then every fella who walks a beat lives with sore feet, a casualty of our profession.  Yet another reason for my occasional repose upon the glider:  a pause for the paws.  Now that the subject has been mentioned, I think that I'll head up the stairs for a lie-down.
