Me-usings and Me-emories
20 August 2018 - Well, the picture to the right says it all. Why bother to rise and begin the week when this is one's reality? The only reasonable course of action is inaction, i.e., I intend to doze my way through this unpleasantness. I feel confident that tomorrow will be better (and if not, I will repeat today's plan). Some known for spitting into the wind might say "it can't get any worse"... those words make me shudder, and I pray that Bastet and her pantheon were too busy to register the challenge. Second in the category of "ridiculous things to utter" is anything that suggests that adversity improves character. (I suspect this notion was popular among the saints, a club I do not wish to join.)
