22 August 2018 - "Little Tom Horner lay in his corner, dreaming of summer sky.  He stuck out his paw, it needed a thaw, and said, "what a screwed cat am I".  Yes, the beeps and I can feel autumn in the air:  the former are packing their bindles and heading south; meanwhile I search for heat sources.  What has the world come to, when there are places in conflagration, other spots bailing excess water, hinterland setting record highs? The office, I have discovered, contains numerous metal boxes that emanate heat... methinks I shall be putting in overtime for the foreseeable future.
