Me-usings and Me-emories
29 March 2019 - Sometimes I do follow instructions... but infrequently enough that my peeps don't know what to think. It is a keep-'em-guessing strategy primarily used to buy time, the misdirection allowing one to escape, but also to provoke frustration (I don't want to be the only denizen pulling hair). I like, while faking sleep, to eavesdrop on my peeps' conversations: "Do you think he's alright? He's curled up on the towel." We cats have a real talent for wiliness, and the older I get, as speed and dexterity become less effective options, the more reason I have to employ it.
