8 March 2019 - Finally weather that invites one outside!  The shorter peep and I spent some glorious time in the yard yesterday.  I admit that my attention to detail had slipped during the miserable bout of cold temperatures, but after a thorough inspection we are back to a green alert.  And as well we should be, for green is the predominant color at the moment:  new leaves are appearing (while the last of the old fall to the ground), tendrils are pushing up from the earth.  I have even ingested a handful of the young shoots:  eat your vegetables.
