16 Jun 2021 - I know that my kind are supposedly nocturnal creatures, but purrsonally I find the dark of night great for sleeping.  Once the sky begins to brighten, I take my cues from the shorter peep.  If she sleeps in, I oblige; if she stirs, I assist her wake-up process.  There is the rare morning when I am certain that she wants/needs to be up, but hasn't managed it.  Then I will do my little vaudeville show, with acrobatics and tossed toys, even audience involvement if reactions seem especially dead.  The taller peep always manages to ignore my best efforts:  I am convinced not even an awesome Coppurrfield could wake him prematurely.
