15 Jun 2021 - With our now constant hot weather, I find less reason to seek a peep's lap for warmth.  And the accommodating peep may feel similarly, as my natural body temperature is even higher.  But there are other worthwhile reasons to plop atop a peep, none of which are altruistic... it is after all well known that cats aren't into self-denial.  Foremost is that, in such close proximity, I am given lots of head pats, ear scratches, and chin rubs.  While I am able to reach all these areas with a hind paw, there is something unmatchable when one doesn't have to extend a claw to achieve satisfaction... it just makes me purr.
