11 Jun 2021 - Job security is a good feeling, one less thing to worry about.  Once upon a time a fella's hard work and loyalty were rewarded, but the current generation of proles must look out for themselves, plan for their future (if they can even imagine such exists).  My situation is far from dire:  I have two peeps that appreciate my contributions around the abode and in the office, so I am very happy to do my share... plus my job is satisfying, and never dull.   Honestly neither peep could fill my shoes (if I wore them).  Their hearing misses a lot, and they are not quick out of the gate.  There would be a horde of clamoring interlopers outside our walls, were it not for my efforts.
