Me-usings and Me-emories
13 Jun 2021 - My peeps tell me that one year has passed since my arrival here. I'll have to assume their finger-counting is correct, as it seems like yesterday that I first scurried under the bed and also seems like the beginning of time. Paper is the recognized 1st-year gift, so perhaps I'll get a wadded newsprint to bat around the floor... and I'm not being snarky, it would be fun for all of five seconds. Admittedly we cats tend to have short-attention spans unless interlopers are involved... then I can sit wide-eyed, muscles tensed for long minutes. And before you get snarky, try whole-body concentrating for just sixty seconds and you will realize how much energy is needed to maintain that sharpness of focus and prevent distraction. Is it any wonder that we cats take frequent naps?
