shaggy-cat story

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

1 Jun 2021 - It is pleasant to linger over the morning meal, to ease into the day.  But at some point, either the shorter peep or I stir from our spot, tacitly signaling the end of breakfast.  We both head off to work, with the anticipation of meeting in a few hours for my daily brush.  It is something so enjoyable that I will interrupt my interloper vigil, even my porch nap, to claim.  I don't know if the credit should be given to this regular epidermal stimulation or to a long spate of cold weather or to an improved diet, that I now have more fur.  It is particularly noticeable on my flanks... the result being I no longer appear tri-colored.  Give me a few more weeks to shed the winter excess, and then I'll know if it's a seasonal thing.
