Me-usings and Me-emories

16 Jul 2021 - Of course it is all purrspective, but doesn't this squeep look HUGE.  Several times a week we spar a few rounds.  The exercise keeps me physically and mentally sharp, while my opponent learns little from our encounters... but it is just a stuffed toy (only in Saturday morning cartoons or Disney animated films would it actually walk and talk).  The imagination isn't just a youngster's diversion.  It provides the means to role-play, to problem-solve.  Despite my job title, I don't often go toe-to-toe with an interloper... but I need to be ready for those occasional occurrences.  Should one sneak across our borders (or suddenly the porch screen vanish, yikes), I will need more than bravura to ward off the attack.
