Me-usings and Me-emories
2 Jul 2021 - Sometimes I can get wrapped up in my work, but I emerged the victor. It is a curious thing that the toy squeep is only interesting to me when it is jumping around or loping across the counterpane... my eye must be irresistibly drawn to movement. Certainly the perception of motion is what the brain alerts us to, a valuable signal be you predator or prey. And yes, I know that this thing is not real, was actually purchased for rowdy play. Even so, practice is invaluable if/when its real counterpart is encountered (and I have seen them beyond our perimeter). Besides it is a harmless (perhaps not to the toy) way to expend energy, and on a soggy afternoon probably is keeping me from activity that my peeps would find less amusing.
