Me-usings and Me-emories
3 Jul 2021 - One of the benefits of friendship is companionship in both good and trying times. The shorter peep spends a lot of time in the kitchen, and I am happy to show appreciation and solidarity by being present. Obviously my company is more symbolic than helpful, but I do keep from underfoot and try to be entertaining, not difficult when "silly" is an apt (and alliterative) adjective. My side show can't be too distracting, or I might be held responsible for her over-salting the soup. It is a fine line that I walk/sprawl, between unnoticed and spectacle, further complicated by cross-species differences and individual differences. Rather than guess and goof, I take my cues from her... and skedaddle just before a soft tomato is thrown.
