Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

4 July 2021 - After a long, noisy evening I am pleased that today has begun quietly.  The prolonged clamor reminded me of thunder, but different in its sameness and predictable frequency.  My two peeps acted as if things were normal, so after a perimeter patrol I chilled as well.  And if I want some calm on the screened porch, a momentary break in my job during which I can relax and contemplate, I should not delay:  our afternoons are very likely to be drippy... at least that is the recent pattern.  Afterwards some coat maintenance will be needed, lest, like everything Mother Nature has touched, I start looking a bit green.

Catty Corner

word of the day - purrsnickety, requiring careful and fastidious attention (second nature to a cat)
