6 Jan 2022 - I have had so many things on my mind recently, that I failed to mention that I outlasted the festive interior decor.  More quickly than it appeared, it disappeared... just when I had gotten used to it!  C'est la vie (and view).  Whatever the surroundings, a cat mostly wants boring continuity, so I am hopeful that the shorter peep has exhausted her creative urges.  Meanwhile we have settled into our respective routines, with treats at meals and a mid-morning brushing and all the interactions I've come to expect (and look forward to).  Afternoon temperatures are even such that I can spend a lot of time on my screened porch, scouting for interlopers.  It is good to have work that you love.
