Me-usings and Me-emories

15 Jan 2022 - I don't have to suit up for battle everyday, yet here I am again, deflating an interloper's chutzpah.  There was never any question as to outcome, but complacency is a sure way to lose a sure thing.  So all my focus, all my energy, is channeled into besting the adversary.  These physical bursts can be addictive, especially in one's youth, when one can switch into superhero mode with a twitch of the ear.  And the aftermath, when the adrenaline is spent but the mind is still heady, begs for a strut around the arena floor... but that would be showing off, and we cats like to retain an air of cool mystery.
