5 Apr 2022 - "Why?" is always a good question, and often irritating... especially when any answer, other than "because", would require deliberation... which gets in the way of fun.  Fortunately the shorter peep doesn't really expect a statement of purpose, so I can gaze in her general direction and that will postpone our conversation until a time of my choosing.  And I usually opt for a back-and-forth when treats are at hand.  But at this very moment I am about my business, hunkered in a tree fork, surveying the forest floor.
