1 March 2015 - We cats have twice as many smell-sensitive receptors in our noses as do humans...which can be a blessing and a curse.  I can still detect the presence of all those strange peeps, and that was thirty-six hours ago.  In something of a design flaw IMO, if I wrinkle up my nose in reaction to an offensive odor, I actually expose more of the scent organ in the roof of my mouth...it is called the vomeronasal organ.  When in a that-stinks situation it is further reason to zip the lips.
