Me-usings and Me-emories
10 March 2015 - There is something about this time of year that draws the shorter peep outside. Maybe she unconsciously recognizes her vitamin D deficiency, maybe the sap is rising? Whatever is the cause, she and I have been in the yard more of late. She appears to have the bone-headed idea that she can win the war against falling leaves and encroaching grapevine. How do you tell the mongoose that its ferocity is not sufficient for the task? You don't, so I will grant my peep today's battle and will zip my lips about tomorrow's resurgence. My goals are much more attainable: to melt in the sun's warmth and to appreciate the sharp whiteness of its light.
