Me-usings and Me-emories
4 March 2015 - How sweet it is to be able to spend time outdoors! All we Floridians await this day, and it has been slow in arriving this year. Having a single night of freezing temperatures doesn't adequately depict the weeks and weeks of cold weather, often accompanied by blustery winds and gray skies. Before someone becomes indignant about my wuss complaints when parts farther north are buried under snow, allow me to point out that I am comparing oranges to oranges, past DeLand winters with the winter of 2014-15. But nature's whims will be forgiven if we can hang onto these gorgeous days. However the arrival of Bike Week often seems to bring out the worst in our weather.
