Me-usings and Me-emories

17 January 2018 - Here I am, hard at work... well, "hard" may be a cat stretch.  But the rest, "at work", is completely true.  From this perch, I am able to scan the entire front approach to our house, and react accordingly.  Today there were just the usual suspects:  beeps and squeeps, nothing requiring an elevation in the alert level.  But one never knows what the next day or hour will bring to our doorstep, so my job is guaranteed.  Curious as my species is alleged to be, I find my responsibilities mentally satisfying.  Even a quiet day doesn't bore, as there is always activity to be observed and assessed.  The fact that I tower above the landscape is so befitting.
