Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

15 Aug 2023 - A different sort of interloper creeps out after dark:  my adjective for the lot is sneaky.  We cats are often mistakenly thought of as nocturnal creatures, but really we are largely inactive in the dead of the night... alas, sometimes my job responsibilities cut into my sleep.  Every odd thump, especially if originating inside our domicile, must be investigated.  Often it is nothing, sometimes I suspect my presence on the scene sends the noise-maker elsewhere, or at least encourages it to be quiet.  Rarely is there an encounter.  Those pursuits are the most fun... but do make it difficult to immediately return to slumber.

  1. gotta watch out for those things that go bump in the night...who knows what they are trying to do! I'm glad you occasionally rouse yourself to keep your peeps safe as they slumber
