Me-usings and Me-emories
14 Aug 2023 - My peeps call this twilight, but my eyes have no trouble making out friend and foe, mostly the latter category. At day's end, the interlopers are hoping to score a bit of food to tide them over, a sip of lake water... and I must watch their activities, lest they try something more daring. When the sun is higher, I might spy strange peeps paddling to and fro on the lake, sometimes noisily zipping by... but they take no notice of me, which is the aim of a consummate sentry.
