9 Aug 2023 - If given the choice, naturally I will opt to sit on the rug rather than the floor... for a number of reasons (slight elevation improvement, appealing texture, perceived warmth, to name three).  But it is a heavily used traffic corridor, so I won't be caught napping here.  Between that long piece of furniture and the wall is a narrow channel, just wide enough for me.  My nose, following the trail of a meep interloper, discovered its existence.  Now I chiefly use it as a convenient hiding spot that allows me to eavesdrop on peep conversations... not that I understand the words, but often I get their intent.
