sleeping duty

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

9 October 2020 - We cats need our beauty rest:  work hard, snooze hard.  So I make no apologies for any moments of the day when I am lying down on my job.  Even the insomniac knows the benefits of sufficient sleep.  And it certainly isn't wasted time:  the body needs a chance to do basic housekeeping and maintenance, and the mind can use the respite to work on knotty problems.  In this picture my grey cells are busily at work, devising a means to intercept that crazed beep at the window.  It isn't exactly a code-red threat, but its annoyance level is quite high.  Even my peeps have commented on its persistence... so any plan (that doesn't involve dynamite) would have the backing of all house members.

one must back away from the problem.

word of the day - purruminate, to think deeply while humming to one's self, often with eyes closed

  1. that demented interloper certainly has been "on the job" for quite a few years! My mom had a dirt & rock eating starling for several years in a row. Beeps can be weird
