Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

16 October 2020 - I have my dignified moments, but we cats don't like to be predictable.  Occasionally I am overtaken by the impulse to play, and I seek out my favorite toy for antics.  Of course my imagination must enter into the game, since a small stuffed blob isn't much of an adversary.  However with some whole-hearted pounces and well-aimed whacks I can get into the predator spirit... and have fun while getting some exercise.  It isn't that different from a sword-wielding peep jumping about a stage in well-rehearsed choreography.  To be believable requires a momentary disengagement from reality of both the audience and the actor.  I do wonder if escapism is what keeps my two peeps close to the domicile.

Stagnation or stir-up...
is there really a choice?
