17 May 2024 - I don't need a Fitbit to validate that I take many steps in the course of my job.  But truly I don't mind all the leg work entailed, as the scenery is constantly changing.  In what other purrfession could I wander in and out of rooms and get paid?  The daily meandering means that I am familiar with every nook in our domicile, every shortcut (and every hiding place).  Sometimes I encounter a piece of furniture that isn't where it is supposed to be, but generally I could walk my beat with my eyes closed... but then there are the interlopers that must be spotted.
