waiting to happen

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

28 July 2013 - I am simply a wreck.  The peeps tried to be stealthy about it, but I have seen the suitcase out and open.  What are they up to?  "No good," is the proverbial reply.  The stress of not knowing is shaving a year off my life.

27 July 2013 - Luck is a random distribution, which means that some have more good fortune than others...the luck of the draw.  I am one of those with an above-average share, so you with less can accuse me of living in the lap of luxury.  I will not deny it...besides, my clever peep has the evidence (and the negative).

silence is golden

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

25 July 2013 - Being alone is very different from being isolated.  The former is a state that can be difficult to achieve in a noisy/nosy world, but has enormous benefits to one's health and well-being.  We should all strive periodically to find our still point, to listen to the beating of our heart.  Spandex attire is not needed, nor is special equipment.  There is no weigh-in and no age restrictions and no n-step program...all of which makes it unmarketable.  But what has hype done for you lately?

tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

24 July 2013 - Time waits for no man, but I can turn my back on it.  Bierce defines a day as a period of twenty-four hours, mostly misspent.  But don't they lock you up for spending something that is not yours in the first place?  I choose to ignore its petty tick-tock.  If my attempt to kill time is indeed the cause of its death, then haven't you all been fooled by its sound and fury.

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

23 July 2013 - I am a technocat.  Movers and shakers must keep pace with the times, and this is the twenty-first century after all.  WiFi, URLs, TCP/IP, CAT 6 are enough to give a luddite a headache.  But as the JPEG to the right illusttrates, I am at home among the wires, a turbo stick above me, a router as my pillow, a Mac mini warming my bed.

22 July 2013 - I realize that my image is of one on his way to the top, and I don't dispute that that is my calling.  But the journey doesn't preclude the occasional pause to enjoy one's surroundings, to reflect on life's largesse.  Of course, anyone who has the promise of nine lives can waste a few minutes here and there.

21 July 2013 - Have I told you about the time I scaled Gros Morne?  No?  Well, another time perhaps.  I am a well traveled cat, having been in thirteen United states and several Canadian provinces.  Quite honestly I am a home body, preferring to spend my days in contemplation of the big questions.  But there are a few destinations on my bucket list, my maybe-someday compilation...such as mysterious Katmandu.  I love the very sound of it.
