a Florida crackerjack

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

10 August 2016 - This circular structure to my left is where my peeps get their water.  I know this fact, because several summers ago, with power knocked out by a storm, they dipped buckets into its cold depths.  A scary thought, when just to my right is the lake, where I come to slake my thirst.  Evidently they are opposed to crouching on a rock and slurping it up.  I haven't closely examined the peep tongue, but it is possible that it isn't well suited for the job.  Mine is covered with backward-facing barbs that catch and retain the water sufficiently long for me to swallow it... coupled with an amazing rate of four laps per second.  Just try that!
